Experiential Learning
Experiential learning is one of the modules the University of Chester demands its second year students to participate in. It's function is to essentially force students into 5 weeks of a form of indentured servitude. The administration at the university would like everyone to think that by making such demands of their student body that they are fulfilling any requirements that would aid the students in any future career prospects.
It may for some students
...but not those that are enrolled within the programme of Fine Art.
What follows is my attempt to circumvent the modus operandi of the administration and their demands concerning my enforced participation within the parameters of the module.
I have not participated in the manner that was expected of me. I did not want to have to submit to any form of health and safety stipulation - if my home is safe enough to live in, it's safe enough to work in. I refused to work in any office, to learn graphic design, to be a wedding photographer or any of the other so called "artistic" opportunities available within the WBL (Work Based Learning) office.
I did this instead....
